Bashido Technologies Ltd ("Bashido") is responsible for personal information collected through this website and enquiries about our business. We operate public-sector growth services for suppliers. This notice covers website visitors and business contacts; information handled in client engagements is also covered by the arrangements for that engagement.

When you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, business email address, organisation, role and enquiry. Required form fields help us respond; optional fields can be left blank. Please do not send sensitive personal information or confidential bid material through a website enquiry. Our hosting service processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the website. With your permission, Google Analytics 4 collects information about pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, referral sources and website interactions.

We use enquiry information to respond, arrange conversations and manage business relationships. We rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with business contacts and running our business. We also rely on legitimate interests to maintain a secure, functioning website. Where necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you as an individual, we rely on that contractual basis. We rely on legal obligations where we must retain or disclose records by law. Optional analytics is based on your consent. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Access is limited to people who need the information for their work. We use Microsoft 365 for business email, Amazon Web Services for website hosting, Formspree for website enquiries and Google Analytics 4 for optional website analytics. These providers process information to supply their services. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary for advice, legal obligations or protecting legal rights. We do not sell personal information.

Our cloud providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. International transfers are subject to applicable UK data protection requirements. Provider arrangements include UK-recognised adequacy mechanisms or approved contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum, where required. We keep enquiry information while we respond and while there is a continuing business relationship or a reasonable need for follow-up. We review information when an enquiry closes or a relationship ends, and delete information that is no longer needed. We retain relevant records longer where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We retain analytics information while it is useful for understanding website use and evaluating improvements. Google Analytics applies retention controls to user and event data; aggregated reports are retained separately. Cookie lifetimes are explained in our Cookie Policy.

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. Contact hello@bashido.ai to make a request. We normally respond within one month. Your right to object: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. We will consider your circumstances and stop processing unless we have a lawful reason to continue. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. This does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent. We do not use website enquiries to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
